The court held that in respect of the specified plaintiffs who recovered less than the payment into court each must pay only the extra costs occasioned by their joinder and no more; for the deceased plaintiff there should be no order as to costs; and for the other plaintiffs the costs order nisi in their favour should be made absolute — because joinder was proper and saved costs, and defendants are only entitled to recover costs causally attributable to the joinder of unsuccessful co-plaintiffs.
