Leave to appeal was granted on grounds that the trial judge's conclusion that no police report of loss had been made and the drawing of an irresistible inference solely from possession of the passport were reasonably arguable errors; leave was refused on the identification ground because the judge was entitled to find, on the totality of the evidence including the applicant's recorded statements, that he was the third man who checked into the guesthouse with the co-defendants.
