The appeal is dismissed because the trial judge's factual findings that there was no heightened work stress and that the ICH resulted from a chronic pathological process rather than an identifiable accident were not plainly wrong; under section 5 of the ECO an accident must be an event or series of events which can be identified as causing the injury and the applicant failed to prove such an accident or causal link to his employment.
