Because statute and authority preclude directing a DATC order to run from a future date and it is wrong in principle to suspend a DATC order to commence after a pre-existing prison term, the DATC order was discharged and the appellant was resentenced to imprisonment; a term of 6 months imprisonment was imposed to run consecutive to the existing 4 months sentence.
