Section 46 of the Employees' Compensation Ordinance, by stating that compensation "shall not pass to any other person by operation of law", excludes statutory compensation and the related cause of action from the bankrupt's estate; therefore the bankrupt claimant retained locus standi to pursue the statutory compensation post‑bankruptcy and the claim proceeded to assessment, resulting in the award quantified in the judgment.
