Section 9 of the Labour Tribunal Ordinance is to be read in light of the Ordinance's purpose to provide an informal forum for employees; a claimant may, in compliance with s.9, bring Tribunal proceedings for only that part of any alleged unpaid wages not time barred under the Section. On the facts the payments constituted wages and the respondent remained an employee from 1 April 1986 to 30 March 1987; therefore the Tribunal's award was lawful and is upheld.
