The court held that although the appellants (or their counsel) had effectively consented to most of the order and could not resile in the circumstances where the examination had commenced and substantial steps had been taken, parts of Master Woolley's order requiring production of broad classes of documents were contrary to s.76(4)(b) of the Evidence Ordinance because they did not specify particular documents and thus were beyond the court's jurisdiction; those offending passages were severed and the remainder of the order affirmed.
