The court appointed Mr Cheng Tsz Ying as sole independent administrator because both candidates were independent and fees were reasonable and comparable, but Mr Cheng's proven experience acting as an independent administrator in contentious estates made him better suited to manage ongoing litigation and conflicting beneficiary interests.
