SANTA MONICA EQUITY INC. v. CHRISTELLE FILA NZOLOLO
- Citation
- [2022] HKCFI 111
- Court
- Court of First Instance
- Case number
- HCMP214/2021
The expert report and unchallenged factual evidence established beyond reasonable doubt that the letter was a cut-and-paste forgery; a forged document filed on oath as the sole evidence for a claim was overwhelmingly likely to interfere with the administration of justice; the respondent knew or was recklessly indifferent to the forgery and its likely effect; accordingly the respondent was guilty of contempt and should be brought before the court to make submissions on penalty, and costs are payable on an indemnity basis.
