Security for costs was ordered against the two foreign plaintiffs (Loyd and Wald) because they failed to produce documentary evidence demonstrating even an arguable title to sue; the court applied the usual rules for security for costs and fixed security of HK$100,000 (for the two plaintiffs in respect of their claims up to the end of discovery) and ordered that the plaintiffs bear the costs of the application.
