Although the plaintiff failed to provide cogent evidence explaining the incorrect Kwun Tong address, the court found no element of deception and concluded the misstatement was a grave mistake; because Order 23 r.1 requires deception (or an inability to justify the address) to justify security, the master’s refusal to order security for costs was upheld.
