The Court held that the trial judge's emphatic and repeated directions on the right to silence, including a specific instruction to ignore improper cross-examination on the Ah Chu point, were sufficient to dispel any prejudice; accordingly the refined point on the fluorescent powder evidence did not arise from the Court's judgment and no Certificate was granted.
