On a case-specific balancing of prejudice and having regard to the timetable and apparent merits of D2's discharge application, the Court ordered that D2's obligation to provide asset disclosure be stayed/extended until the discharge application is heard on 2 October 2024 (or further order) and permitted D2 to expend up to HK$1,200,000 on legal fees and representation up to and including that hearing; the hearing date and directions were fixed and the solicitors holding proceeds of sale were directed to preserve those funds except to fund permitted amounts.
