The court awarded general damages of HK$60,000 for pain, suffering and loss of amenities for the fractured wrist, awarded past loss of earnings of HK$101,600 up to the date of the plaintiff's stroke in August 1987 under the Jobling principle, allowed special damages of HK$516, deducted HK$39,800 received as Employees' Compensation, ordered interest on loss of earnings and special damages at half the judgment rate from date of accident to judgment, and ordered costs to be taxed.
