Because section 20(1) of the Law Amendment and Reform (Consolidation) Ordinance, Cap 23, excludes defamation causes of action from survivorship, the personal representative could not obtain an order to carry on the appeal under Order 15 rule 7; therefore leave to represent the deceased and to appeal was refused and the summonses dismissed.
