Given the plaintiff's repeated non‑attendance, lack of response after her solicitors ceased to act, adequate service of notice, and the need for efficient case management, the court ordered the plaintiff to notify within 3 days whether she intends to defend the counterclaim; failure to do so will result in automatic striking out of her defence to the counterclaim, entry of judgment for the defendant with costs and vacating of the trial dates; the court may exercise powers analogous to Order 25, rule 9(6) at a pre‑trial review to achieve this outcome.
