Having given full weight to the fresh medical report (Dr Singer) which assessed the disorder as mild to moderate with a prognosis of likely improvement with appropriate treatment over about two years and concluded the appellant was not highly dangerous beyond a few years, the Court held that the appellant did not constitute a continuing unpredictable danger warranting an indeterminate life sentence; accordingly the life sentence was quashed and substituted with a determinate sentence of 10 years imprisonment.
