Applying a broad‑brush assessment of the wife's proven recurring needs and the husband's demonstrated ability to pay, the court allowed maintenance pending suit at HK$126,257.20 per month (commencing 1 August 2018), refused litigation funding because the wife has deployable assets and did not satisfy the Currey criteria, and ordered backdating to 11 October 2013 for a total arrears of HK$2,682,917.60 payable in 18 monthly instalments of HK$149,050.98.
