Because no action had been taken under the Long-term Prison Sentences Review Ordinance Cap.524 and a life sentence remains in force, the magistrate's order that the aggregate 16-month fixed-term sentence run consecutively to the life sentence could not operate and was quashed; the appropriate order is that the 16-month aggregate sentence run concurrently with the life sentence (the individual fixed-term sentences and their partial consecutive structure among themselves remain undisturbed).
