- Court
- Court of First Instance
- Case number
- HCAL18/2007
Warrants issued under s12 MLAO were valid; the Secretary for Justice and magistrate were not misled in a way that vitiates the warrants; the presence and limited active participation of Italian officers to advise on relevance and assist searches was lawful and fell within 'necessary and reasonable' assistance under s12; the warrants were not unreasonably wide or required temporal limits; procedural errors (unauthorized notes/copies and shredding) were improper but did not render the searches unlawful or justify quashing; accordingly judicial review dismissed.
