The judge's directions, read as a whole, sufficiently and correctly explained the prosecution's burden to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt and the limited effect of the s47 presumptions; although reference to s47(2) was unnecessary, it did not confuse the jury about the standard of proof and therefore there was no basis to disturb the verdict.
