The magistrate erred in basing imprisonment on speculative harm to the Colony's reputation where the facts did not show distribution or exported origin linked to Hong Kong; on the proper assessment the sentences should be amended to fines of HKD 3,000 on each charge with one month's imprisonment in default (with credit for time served).
