- CACC355/1982
The sale of newspapers to a wholesaler constituted an offer for sale to the public under s.2(2)(c) of Cap.150; the magistrate properly exercised his discretion to allow the prosecution to call additional evidence to complete the chain linking the appellant to the publication; the magistrate permissibly interpreted the euphemistic language, on interpreter evidence and context, as referring to intimate parts making the advertisements objectionable; accordingly the conviction under s.4(1)(a) was upheld and the appeal dismissed.
