The mother is a mentally incapacitated person within the MHO and a person under disability under Order 80; Order 80 r6 mandates that a guardian ad litem must be appointed where no acknowledgement of service has been filed and such appointment is in the mother's benefit; accordingly a guardian ad litem must be appointed and, if no suitable relative volunteers, the Official Solicitor is to be appointed and to report to the Court within the prescribed timeline.
