Overtaking a stationary vehicle immediately in front of a zebra crossing and driving across the crossing created an obvious and serious risk to pedestrians and therefore constituted reckless driving; conviction upheld, but sentencing was excessive in light of mitigating factors so the suspended custodial term was set aside and disqualification reduced.
