Because the appellants inspected the premises and the buyers made known the particular purpose and relied on the appellants' skill, an implied condition of fitness for purpose arose under s.16(a) of the Sale of Goods Ordinance; the heater was unsuited to the existing piping and the sellers were liable for consequential losses, subject to a modest reduction of the damages awarded.
