The magistrate did not err: the facts (cash transfer of HK$50,000 between an arrested suspect and the investigating sergeant shortly after arrest, money discarded nearby, appellant's admissions and prior convictions) warranted an immediate custodial sentence; a nine-month starting point was appropriate and reduced by one-third for plea to six months, with no exceptional circumstances to justify a lesser disposal.
