The notice card issued by the Post Office does not, of itself, confer any right to possession and is not a "document of title" within the meaning of the Sale of Goods Ordinance; therefore no presumption under section 47(2) arose from the notice card and there was insufficient evidence to support conviction on the third charge, which must be quashed; by contrast the appellant's physical possession of the other parcel activated the s.47 presumption which he failed to rebut and that conviction and the two and a half year sentence were upheld.
