The Court held there was no basis to interfere with the sentence because the judge correctly assessed the serious and aggravating nature of the offences, the appellant's status as a recidivist with a high risk of reoffending, and properly applied sentencing principles including appropriate starting points, one-third guilty plea discount and totality; consequently the aggregate sentence of 9 years imprisonment was justified and not manifestly excessive.
