The Master dismissed the Company's reviews of taxation. The taxation rulings were upheld: junior counsel's hourly rate at HK$5,500 with specified percentage deductions was appropriate; the senior counsel's brief fee of HK$300,000 was reasonable given his experience and the work entailed; the PRC investigation and Cayman law opinion disbursements were necessary with only the modest deductions previously applied; costs claimed for ex parte applications with no order for costs were disallowed.
