A joint tenancy in Hong Kong is a registrable interest in land and therefore falls within "land or interest in land" in s20 of the Supreme Court Ordinance; the court may impose a charge on the debtor's interest (not on the land itself) and, on the facts, the discretion should be exercised to allow registration and recovery of taxed costs.
