The Court allowed the Attorney General's review application, holding the original 8 year sentence was manifestly inadequate given the premeditated nature of the attack, the permanent disfigurement of the victim and the absence of remorse; applying Sections 81A/81B and comparing authorities the proper sentence was 15 years but, allowing a limited discount in the exercise of the review jurisdiction, substituted a sentence of 13 years imprisonment.
