The court accepted the evidence that a binding written contract dated 23 December 1969 existed for sale with delivery of vacant possession in June 1970; therefore the Security of Tenure (Domestic Premises) Ordinance 1970 and the Rent Increases (Domestic Premises) Control Ordinance 1970 do not apply to these premises and the November 1969 notices to quit validly terminated the tenancies; judgment for the plaintiff for possession and associated relief followed.
