The court sanctioned the Scheme because it served the permissible purpose of collective debt restructuring, the Scheme Creditors properly constituted a single class given the insolvency alternative, the meeting was duly convened and informed, the required statutory majorities were obtained, and the court was satisfied that an intelligent and honest member of the class could reasonably approve the Scheme; there was also a sufficient Hong Kong nexus and a credible path to transnational recognition.
