Conviction upheld because the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that the appellant used electricity while not being a registered consumer and by installing unauthorised meters (lack of due authority) and that his conduct was dishonest by ordinary standards (including reinstalling a meter after being told he had no permission); the subsequent payment of $2000 did not negate the earlier dishonest unauthorised use.
