Where a defendant provided false information to investigative authorities that had a tendency and was intended to expose others to investigation or prosecution, that conduct constitutes an attempt to pervert the course of public justice; the Crown need only prove beyond reasonable doubt that the attempt occurred even if it cannot prove which particular allegation was false.
