The magistrate made detailed, reasoned credibility findings supported by contemporaneous WhatsApp communications and other evidence; she was entitled to reject defence witnesses and treatment records as unreliable; on the appellate review there was no error of law or demonstrable misapprehension of evidence and no lurking doubt, therefore convictions for unlawful practice by D1 and aiding/abetting by D2 are safe and must be upheld.
