Because there was no corroborative evidence and the magistrate failed to warn himself of the danger of convicting on uncorroborated accomplice testimony, the conviction was unsafe; the appellate court could not be certain it would have convicted absent seeing and hearing the witnesses, therefore the conviction was quashed and sentence set aside.
