Defendant failed to prove the alleged oral agreements and the defendant's hearsay affirmations/witness statement were unreliable and given no weight; claimant and her family established continuous, exclusive possession and animus possidendi for over 20 years (by latest 1983) through cessation of rent, renovations, lock changes, utility payments and contributions to building-order compliance; accordingly limitation operated under s7(2) and s17 to bar and extinguish the defendant's title and to vest possessory title in the claimant.
