Nothing advanced by the applicant, either in writing or orally, raised a point of law of great and general importance or demonstrated substantial and grave injustice within the meaning of s32(2) Cap 484; therefore the application for a certificate was dismissed.

The Court held that the applicant's detailed cautioned statement, accepted by the trial judge and supported by witness evidence, provided ample evidence connecting him to the false hire-purchase form; there were no grounds to interfere and leave to appeal was dismissed.
