The Court dismissed the appeal, holding the magistrate's starting points (12 and 15 months) and reductions for guilty pleas to 8 and 10 months were appropriate, the totality principle was properly applied to impose an aggregate sentence of 18 months, and despite offending while on bail the appellate court would not increase the sentences under s119(1)(e) given the mitigation advanced.
