Applications for leave to appeal against sentence were dismissed: the sentences imposed (Wan: total 3 years; Cheung: total 18 months) were not excessive. The Immigration offences warranted 18 months (and 6 months for unlawful presence may be appropriate and need not be concurrent) and possession of forged dies was a separate serious offence justifying consecutive sentences under the Crimes Ordinance.
