Security for costs was ordered because respondents did not oppose security but quantum required adjustment; the court applied a broad brush approach, concluded that much of the contested billed items (extensive attendance on client and further evidence) were not necessary and reduced the amount sought, while accepting that engagement of senior counsel was not unreasonable; the court fixed a reasonable security at HK$400,000 and made costs in the cause and an order nisi.
