The court exercised its discretion to order security for costs limited to costs incurred and to be incurred after 11 February 2025, assessed that quantum on a broad-brush basis at HK$2,800,000, and because the plaintiff has unclaimed dividends of HK$3,280,000 and gave an undertaking not to realise or deal with those dividends, the court made no order for payment of the security on the summons and made no order as to costs.
