On the evidence the loans totalling HK$1,000,000 were agreed with the defendant and his wife as joint borrowers, the defendant was involved in receipt and banking of funds and agreed to repay; the defendant and his wife were found not credible while the plaintiff was credible; accordingly the defendant is jointly liable for the outstanding sum and judgment is entered for the plaintiff.
