The Court held the trial judge erred in relying on the last 12 months' savings figures; the full 20 months disclosed an unexplained large withdrawal indicating the account was not a reliable record of savings, so the savings account should not be used to calculate future savings; accordingly the Court applied a 10% arbitrary savings rate (and accepted the appellants' alternative proportional contribution calculation) and reduced the award from $334,089.00 to $188,844.51.
