The tribunal held that Outport Allowance (OA) is not "wages" under s.2 of the Employment Ordinance because it is a sum payable to defray special expenses incurred by the nature of employment and falls within the s.2(d) exception; conversely Line Duty Allowance (LDA), Ground Duty Allowance (GDA) and Duty Free Sales Commission (DFSC) are components of the claimants' wages.
