Conviction quashed because the Crown failed to prove a causal relationship between the $10,000 accepted and any act done by the appellant in relation to his principal's affairs; the payment was to secure permission to use a fish pond (unrelated to the fundraising) and 'otherwise on account of' cannot be equated with merely 'in the course of'.
