On balance, and applying the paramount best interests principle, the Court found the father's asserted need for an interview did not justify refusing the mother's limited summer travel because the father accepted the interview unilaterally without the mother's consent, the timing made any change of school impracticable before the new term, and there were too many contingencies that would make the interview unlikely to produce a timely, workable outcome; therefore leave was granted for the specified travel period upon the mother's undertaking to return the child.
