Applying BO s.43E(2) and an objective assessment of reasonable domestic needs, the court held each of the five disputed items constituted reasonable domestic needs in the circumstances (overseas tertiary education for adult children continuing studies abroad; part-time domestic helper; emergency taxi fare for duty calls; support for elderly parents; job-related grooming expenses) and therefore dismissed the OR's application for an income payments order of HK$59,529; costs of HK$3,000 were awarded to the bankrupt against the Official Receiver.
